Chapter 4

Tobias woke up to the sound of someone knocking on his door. He pulled on some clothes and went to the door, hoping to see his beautiful neighbor. It was Angie and she was indeed looking beautiful. She was wearing a long navy blue dress with a soft white sweater. It was a more casual style than what she normally wore, but she still looked utterly classy. Her long hair was way down her back, and Tobias was surprised at the length. She had it in soft curls and her makeup was more casual than normal. She hadn't put on perfume that morning, and Tobias could smell her natural scent. He leaned in to kiss her and she returned the kiss.

“Are you going to come with me? “She asked.

"Of course, I need to resign anyway.” Tobias said taking her hand and walking to the car.

“Did you get the funding for your advertisers?” Angie asked.

"Yes, I had more than I expected." Tobias answered as he kissed her before they both got to the car.

As the two of them went up the elevator to the office, Angie began to squeeze Tobias his hand. She looked at him with a nervous smile and he squeezed her hand back and whispered that it would be okay. They walked into the office and immediately Anderson told them to go in the boardroom. Tobias, Angie and Anderson sat down at the table and waited for Roy. Tobias finished writing a letter of resignation so he would have it ready for Roy. Roy walked into the room and complemented Angie immediately. He smiled at Tobias and winked at him. All he had for Anderson was a grumpy frown. Roy sat down at the table, took a deep breath and asked how everyone's morning was going.

“Tobias, what do you have there?” Roy asked putting his glasses on.

“It’s my letter of resignation sir. My father said that you want me to quit so Angie could keep her job.” Tobias said as he passed the letter to Roy.

“Son, I don't want you to quit. In fact, I want to give you the position that Angie will be leaving for her new promotion. I don't know if you know it or not, but when you were looking for advertisers for your blog, you hired a Red Fox’s sister company. This morning, I got a call about your blog. My staff is quite impressed with it. They think it's going to be a hit. I would be honored if you stayed with us.” Roy said. Tobias looked at Angie with widened eyes. This was great news. Tobias wasn't only keeping his job but he was getting a promotion, and Angie was keeping hers.

"Thank you sir.” Tobias said smiling and taking back his letter.

"That leaves me with you Anderson. I don't like it when my employees cause a public scene. You should know better. I was disappointed to hear how you felt about my decision to promote Angie. Well, I think you're going to be even more upset about this one.
